Apparently I was lucky enough to get the game because just 2 hours later, the pre-alpha’s slots is already full. Lo and behold it WORKED, and I decided to click on the “Install” button to register it to my account (because it requires you to do that, otherwise you can’t get the game). My first suspicion is that the pre-alpha is region-locked, so I decided to fire up a VPN and connect it to USA servers, so I could get a US IP address and bypass the whole region locking bullshit. It was only announced a few minutes ago at that time and realizing how this is probably going to be a limited-slot program, I immediately headed to the Play Store on my laptop to get the game… only to be greeted with a “404 not found” message. Back in July, I woke up at around 4 am only to be greeted with one of my fellow staff members of the PvZ wiki ping us about PvZ3 being launched as a pre-alpha. If you’re wondering how I got the pre-alpha, it’s quite an interesting story. I was actually able to snatch the update early on, probably because I’m one of the pre-alpha players, but let’s not go into that yet. I eventually ended up posting a non-apology (apparently the “guest post” thing is entirely a lie just to convince them), and really had to wait until the game launches for the public…Īnd the game was finally soft-launched yesterday in select countries. So back in July I actually made a post about PvZ3’s first impressions, but unfortunately I had to take it down because EA sent us a takedown notice and I had to comply in order to prevent further issues with them.
